biosketch: Benedetto Giardulli, PT, MSc, is a Ph.D. student in Neurosciences, Curricula Physical Exercise and Sports Sciences (University of Genoa). He started his education with a BSc in ‘Physiotherapy’ in 2017 (University of ‘Campania Luigi Vanvitelli’, 110/110 cum laude). Afterward, he completed his MSc in ‘Health Professional Rehabilitation Sciences’ in 2019 (University of Napoli Federico II, 110/110 cum laude). In 2020 he won the ‘Medtronic Master Advanced Knowledge Experience’ (MAKE Napoli) scholarship (University of Napoli Federico II), which focused on systemic medical device development and management. He is a member of the AIFI (Italian Association of Physiotherapists) and ForRheuma (Italian Forum of Health Professionals in Rheumatology) associations. The main areas of his research involve the study of pelvic floor muscle training with a focus on developing a non-invasive external device to facilitate the treatment and assessment processes in men. Simultaneously he is expanding his research studying pelvic floor disorders and sexuality in the population of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
